What Raise Your Threshold
Actually Means

Most of us are taught to manage migraine by avoiding triggers - but migraine doesn’t work like a simple on/off switch.

Your brain has a threshold - a certain amount of stressors it can handle before an attack is triggered.

Think of your threshold like a cup - when your cup is full (poor sleep, blood sugar crashes, stress, hormone swings), even small things can overflow the cup and trigger an attack.

The goal isn’t to eliminate every trigger - the goal is to raise your migraine threshold so you can handle more without your cup overflowing.

That’s the foundation of how I approach migraine with clients - and the framework behind the Raise Your Threshold Migraine Care Program.

The Raise Your Threshold Framework

The Raise Your Threshold framework is organized into four core phases that reflect how migraine resilience is actually built in the body.

STEP 0: Get Started With Me

Before you even dive into the steps, we’ll take a minute to get grounded in your situation - so you’re not trying to force yourself through something that doesn’t quite fit.

From there, the framework gives us structure, but HOW you move through it is flexible based on what’s actually going on for you.

STEP 1: Understand Your Patterns

Learn how to track symptoms, identify patterns, and approach migraine tracking in a way that’s useful - not obsessive.

STEP 2: Stabilize Symptoms & Acute Support

Get clear guidance around supplements, non-medication acute care, and preventive strategies that help stabilize symptoms and reduce trial-and-error.

STEP 3: Build Sustainable Foundations

Build sustainable habits around food, hydration, sleep, and daily routines — with flexible pathways based on your current capacity.

STEP 4: Address Deeper Contributors

Address deeper contributors like nervous system regulation, the gut-brain connection, hormonal patterns, and stress physiology once daily foundations are stable.

Hey! I’m Kelli.

I’m a registered dietitian specializing in migraine - and I also live with migraine myself.

I created the Raise Your Threshold Framework after seeing how so many of us with migraine were left overwhelmed by restrictive diets, fragmented advice, and pressure to “fix” migraine quickly.

My work combines evidence-based nutrition, whole-body support, and real-life practicality - informed by both clinical experience and the reality of everyday life.

  • Insurance isn't accepted at this time. We do accept private pay, HSA, and FSA.

  • Nope! I'm a weight-neutral dietitian, so my approach doesn't include weight loss support. That said, RYT won't interfere with any outside weight loss, gain, or maintenance goals you might have.

  • Yes! You can order testing through the Lab Shop inside RYT (US only) and you'll always receive interpretation + a personalized protocol from me. You’re also welcome to ask questions about previous lab work you’ve had done anytime you need input.
